Griping about the christmas spirit…

You know you do it. I know I do it. We all do it — stores in full christmas regalia weeks before Thanksgiving here in the states (you folks in canada, you’re quietly smirking — your thanksgiving is earlier…).

But, you know something?

I finished my christmas shopping this week, with the exception of some gifts I plan on getting during the Victoria trip.

I know that pisses off some of you; I also know a lot of you are doing what I’m doing.

And I’d never really thought of it before. it’s hard for me to reconcile “don’t do that” with “by the time I let you do that, I’m done shopping” — because isn’t the idea of putting all that up to do it when the people are shopping for it?

Hmm. Maybe they’re right. for once.
