I flew home to Seattle that night to find a job offer from Microsoft (which I turned down). I've come to find that it takes several months to "come down" from the Apple experience -- and I was there only six years. I still find myself becoming terribly impatient when people dither instead of taking action. But, not to worry, there IS life after Apple and it's pretty wonderful in its own way. The report is that you can see them from shore without optics. Hang in there, C.
