Sharks Hockey Odyssey: August 2006:

Hello, and welcome to my blog. My name is Jess Knaster. I am a journalism major at West Valley College in Saratoga, CA and a huge San Jose Sharks fan. This October, I will be embarking on a long, 6 month journey, an “odyssey” of sorts, attending each of the Sharks 82 regular season contests.

The son of an old friend of mine is doing something I bet many of us have dreamed about — he’s taking time off and he’s going to travel and see all 82 games the Sharks play this year, home AND away. He is, of course, blogging this.

I envy him, but it’ll be curious to see if he’s still as interested in this sometime about mid-January, when he’s in Minnesota watching them trap (and I wonder if I’d survive 82 games with Phoenix — their beat buys need battle pay).
