best photos of 2006 — Best of the birds.
With 2006 coming to a close, I’ve been going through my postings and photos, looking at the good, the bad, and the plain old ugly. 2006 was the year I decided to get serious about photography again. Looking back over the last year, I see good progress, from a time early on where I was (sometimes) able to snap a good picture, to late in the year, where I was much more able to create one in the existing conditions.
All in all, 1500 photos “made the cut” and were posted to Flickr. Aperture shows I have a bit over 4700 images dated 2006. Not bad for a first year.
I spent a good part of the year focussing on bird photography; partly because I’m interested in birdwatching in general, partly because the area I live in has so many opportunities for this, and partly because birds are very challenging to do well. In 2007, I need to continue with this, but I also need to work on other forms of photography, also — especially more urban environments.
here, then, is a flickr badge of my favorite birds of 2007.
And onward into 2007. May all your photos be in focus, and may all your colors be crisp and clear…
