Our thoughts go out…
Frankly, it’s just hard to talk hockey right now. Instead, I keep wishing there was something I could do for Bob Gainey. His daughter, Laura, was washed overboard off the ship she was crewing, and is now presumed lost.
If that wasn’t enough to put the game we enjoy in perspective — today, Jeff Kessel underwent surgery for what’s being reported as Testicular cancer. The good news there is that it seemed to have been caught early, and at his age, is very survivable.
My thoughts go out to both of them and their families and friends, and here’s hoping things get better moving into the future for them.
