Two for Elbowing: Predators forward Radulov suspended 1 game
Pulling out a comment…
Two for Elbowing: Predators forward Radulov suspended 1 game:
“Also Saturday, the NHL rescinded two game misconducts called on Predators forward Scott Hartnell, meaning he won’t have to sit out a game in the series with the Sharks.”
Um, ok.
This won’t be popular with the Sharks or Sharks fans, but that’s the proper decision. The rules say that if the other player initiated the fight that led to the misconducts can be rescinded. If you think about it, that’s fair — a player that’s defending himself shouldn’t be suspended.
Since Grier clearly initiated, and Clowe was going to until Tootoo sucker punched him and got Clowe to pound him instead, it was clear Hartnell was defending, not initiating. I honestly expected this, and I’m not suprised.
Personally, I’d rather have Hartnell on the ice, wondering what’s going to happen. Maybe tehy’ll dress Murray.
