San Jose Mercury News – No action, little talk from the Sharks brass:
For the past three seasons, elevated expectations have been crushed in the playoffs, this year by the Detroit Red Wings. No fun for the fan base or a front office that still hasn’t offered its assessment of what went wrong and what needs to be done next.
Maybe that’s because the sting lingers. Maybe the problem involves difficult-to-address intangibles such as heart or mental toughness. Or maybe significant upheaval could be coming.
“No question, everything is up for review from the perspective that we didn’t reach our goal,” Sharks President and CEO Greg Jamison said Monday. “But I’m not looking for wholesale changes.”
