Perhaps caving to the general dislike of the new-look jerseys (seriously, is there anyone who actually thinks they’re an upgrade over the previous ones?), the San Jose Sharks have leaked their third-jersey. And the jersey, well, it looks a hell of a lot like the old black third jersey with an updated logo.

actually, I like the updated logo and the look of the new jersey. and as for the new black jersey?

shrug.

It’s safe. I’ll take safe and nothing special over, say, the Gorton’s fisherman or that damn Oiler jersey with the oil spots any day (or for that matter, the detroit jersey for the Wrigley game…). If it ain’t broke, stop trying to fix it, and with the black jersey, San Jose’s recognizing they don’t need more than a color shift and a tweak.

    The black just brings back memories of seasons past, where black jersey night meant a likely loss.
    The new jerseys have grown on me. Not sure a black one will make much of a difference.
    Vancouver’s new third jersey is a throwback jersey. It’s similar to a previous third jersey, with just some minor changes. I like it better than the regular ones, which are too busy.
