		<description>Regarding the search engine spider -- I worked for a startup doing just that a few years ago.  They didn&#039;t even require a specific web page format; they intelligently parsed event listings from arbitrary formats.  I left before the company went south, so I never did find out what went wrong.  It seemed like a perfectly good idea to me.  Maybe the time wasn&#039;t right.
