Rent Gear at Borrowlenses
Don't buy that gear before trying it out! Renting a lens you're considering buying is a great investment in saving yourself from buyer's remorse!
And if it's a piece or gear you aren't going to use constantly, renting it when you need it is a great way to save money, and I highly recommend Borrowlenses as a place to rent high quality, well-maintained gear.

Going to preDevCamp? I am…
For those of you that don’t read the work version of me, I’m going to be down in Southern California this weekend attending the preDevCamp’s in Orange County and San Diego. If you’re going to one of them, please make sure you track me down and say hi.
PreDevCamp is an independent set of developer camps for the Palm webOS platform and the Palm pre phone, the things I get paid to make sure succeed and which have been the focus of my attention the last few months (unlike my blog, which has been whimpering pitifully in a corner, unloved). There are camps going on world-wide this weekeng, which I think is awesome — I love seeing the grass roots efforts going on, and since other Palm people will be going to the Silicon Valley camp, it was a good excuse to go visit family and make sure some of the other camps got some attention.
The current plan is to head south in the morning, attend the Camps on saturday, spend time with the family in and around that, and head back Monday. I’m hoping to have some time to do some birding (hoping to hit Bolsa Chica, Upper Newport bay, Dana Point harbor to photograph the pelicans, and maybe huntington park, and then Monday visit a few spots around Morro bay (gee, what a surprise) and take in dinner before finishing the the trip home. If the weather cooperates, I may try for some sunset photography with the harbor and the rock — we’ll see.
Once this is done I’m thinking it’s time to dive back into the blog and start writing again. I’ve been focussing on other things (mostly work), but I’m starting to plan out some interesting projects.
See you on the flip side….
