Privacy Policy
In general, my policy is similar to “don’t ask, don’t tell”. If I don’t need information from you, I won’t ask. If I gather information from you, I won’t tell. For some actions, some information about you is needed — for instance, to leave a comment or to subscribe to a service I offer.
Whatever information I do gather will be used only for the purpose of allowing you access to the item or service you’re trying to use. It will not be used for marketing purposes or repurposed without your permission, and it will never be sold or distributed to a third party.
The only exception to this would be someone who is found to be attempting to damage or “hack” the site, or abuse the owners and authors of this site or other users of it. If you’re going to act like a troll, we’ll treat you like one, including happily passing along relevant information to ISPs or authorities as needed to make the abuse stop. For 99.99% of the users, this isn’t an issue; for that .01% that is, don’t be surprised when we choose to fight back, and we fight with a “no prisoners” attitude to protect ourselves and our users.
